I STILL REMEMBER THE RAP

I STILL REMEMBER THE RAP

One nation's wretched debt
makes a mess almost everywhere else
Does that mean freedom? Or does that mean serfdom?
Then comes their gang!
Some speculators...apology slang..
How can you trust systems which die for bond ratings?
To then 'perking' with cuts....
so panicky for production gluts!

How glum...after black panic selling
You still want our Capitalism?
No problem, then digest this schism.
Austerity shoots, on society the shelling..

Yet I miss you so much...
as bourgeois economics never predicts booms or slumps..
And I know you will likely come back...

Yes, I miss the GOSPLAN!
though this time without big 'Marxist gaps'.
No bureaucratic slag..

1996..
..new versions of atlases again to fix!
Still remember the media gag
that they had to put..their fake joy and their fear...
...and on TV some 'chicks', some hip-hop or some rap...
after the fall of the big atheist bear!
I was young.
But I could still recognise the reek of their shams.
Two historical decades of post-modern trash
nay Taliban philistine slaps
are just rotted beginnings, the dividing line
between the Red rising Sun and what comes past the night.

Stock exchange buffoons..
wage cuts that devoured my Europe-enclosure
and about unemployment “the exposure”
no more make me croon.
They destroyed my already-saddened blue mood.

Freedom's the ability of people to control their fate...
and to think it comes very late!

The system fallout..
some people called bosses set out
against some other people in their labour markets
boss-friendly cigarettes..boss-friendly cancers,
no liberty or empathy.
Like this we can't control our destiny.
