WOMEN

WOMEN

Tales of women cleaning carpets
silk and bracelets, labour markets
religious lies, opiates of husbands
one life to buy, stoned by new posh brands

obedient housewives,
credulous house life
remind me of you,
who just bought brand new shoes.

I know the woman's day
still insists
to remind us
She exists.

As with the wage that they “hurl”,
the woman's still nothing in this grim callow world
whereas — no more hurt, no more slurred —
she should simply be All.
